The State Universities Annuitants Association (SUAA) is an Illinois organization for participants in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS). SUAA-UIUC is the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Chapter, one of multiple chapters located on Illinois Public University and Community College campuses. Use www.suaa.org, and this web site, to learn of our advocacy activities with the Illinois Legislature and other services for our members - current employees, retirees, their spouses and their survivors.
The Illinois State Legislature passed and the Governor
signed pension reform legislation that will have a major effect on retirees and
employees alike. The Conference
Committee report to SB 1 passed both chambers of the Illinois State legislature
on December 3, 2013 and was signed into law by Governor Quinn (Public Act 98-599) on December 5, 2013. The major provisions enacted into law are summarized in
the link below and were prepared by the staff of SURS.

The Executive Committee meets at Clark-Lindsey Village, 101 W Windsor, Urbana, from 1:30 to 3:30 PM, the second Wednesday of each month, except for January and July, when meetings are held only if needed. Meeting dates for the next few months are posted under Events. Minutes are posted after approval at the following meeting.
